As someone who works in the electronic document industry, you may have heard of Xplor and even received information from us in the past. You may have considered becoming a member of Xplor or asked yourself "What's in it for me?" but not known the answer.
Well, this is what is in it for you.
Xplor began as an informal gathering of the early production laser printer users to enable discussions on problems, develop solutions, and share knowledge. More than 25 years later, this opportunity to network is still the most significant benefit Xplor has to offer its members. No other industry group has anything like the depth and breadth of knowledge than that residing in the membership of Xplor. More importantly, it is readily available through conferences, phone calls, and the internet.
In an industry evolving at an exciting rate, the ability to keep abreast of technology and process developments is essential, and education through conferences and a range of publications, is a key function of Xplor.
From its origins, Xplor has broadened it perspective of digital documents to include the entire document lifecycle, from concept and design through to archiving and destruction, embracing:
- commerical printing and print on demand
- digital colour printing
- graphic arts
- internet / intranet / extranet / the web
- information capture / imaging / archiving / retrieval
